A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Greenacres, WA. This contract role spans the current school year and provides an excellent opportunity for both experienced clinicians and new graduates seeking to apply their skills in a dynamic educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech-language services to students across grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to support student communication goals
- Utilize specialized techniques addressing articulation, fluency, social communication, cognitive communication, and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in multidisciplinary meetings
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist license (SLP/A) in the state of Washington is required
- Educational Staff Associate (ESA) credential required; Department of Health (DOH) license preferred but not mandatory
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings preferred; new graduates welcome
- Familiarity with special education services and speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) collaboration is a plus
