We are a high-volume, fast-paced automotive dealership committed to operational excellence, accuracy, and exceptional customer service. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and support the financial success of our dealership.
Position Overview:
The Accounting Manager will oversee daily accounting functions, month-end close processes, and ensure compliance with company policies and automotive industry standards. This role requires strong leadership, dealership accounting experience, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all dealership accounting operations including A/R, A/P, deal posting, and general ledger
Manage and perform month-end and year-end close processes accurately and in a timely manner
Oversee reconciling schedules, bank statements, and manufacturer statements
Ensure compliance with OEM requirements, internal controls, and accounting policies
Review and analyze financial statements; identify discrepancies and provide solutions
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance management
Work closely with General Manager and Controller on financial reporting and forecasting
Assist with audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting as needed
Monitor cash flow and maintain strong financial controls
Qualifications:
3–5+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience (required)
Previous management or supervisory experience (required)
Strong understanding of dealership operations and accounting workflows
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to meet strict deadlines in a high-volume environment
