Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A medical leave Occupational Therapist opportunity is available in Wayzata, MN, serving an elementary school setting. This contract position runs from April 6th through June 6th and may extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services based on enrollment needs determined in May. The role requires working onsite across three school locations, supporting a diverse caseload focused on early learning, specialized social communication classrooms, and resource settings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing an elementary caseload split between three sites: an early learning school, an elementary school with special day classes (SDC), and a resource setting elementary school
  • Collaborating closely with another OT at the early learning site for shared caseload management
  • Addressing social communication goals and fine motor skills development for students with specialized needs
  • Conducting initial evaluations for incoming students, providing critical assessments to inform individualized therapy plans
  • Delivering on-site occupational therapy services within the medical leave coverage timeline

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based practice
  • Skilled in working with pediatric clients in educational and home health settings
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and caseloads effectively
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset to collaborate with educators and support staff
  • Familiarity with special education needs, particularly social communication and fine motor development
