Machine Operator / Panel Line Catcher – 2nd & 3rd Shift
Location: Gary, IN
Pay: $18/hour during 2nd shift training → $19/hour when moved to 3rd shift
Schedule:
- Training: 2nd Shift, 3:00 PM–1:00 AM, Monday–Friday for approximately 1–2 months
- After Training: 3rd Shift, 10:00 PM–6:30 AM, Monday–Friday
Job Description
Catch and prepare corrugated paper products at the finishing stage while ensuring they meet customer specifications and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Catch finished products from the panel line, with safety as the top priority.
- Check finished products for quality and customer specifications.
- Strap and wrap products according to customer requirements.
- Keep the panel line area clean and free of debris.
- Assist in other plant areas as needed.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand a product master.
- Complete paperwork accurately and on time.
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Ability to regularly lift 25–50 lbs.
