Position: Inventory Control Specialist
Pay Rate: $21.00 /hourly
Location: San Jose, CA
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 8:00am - 5:00pm
Description:
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventories of all materials and finished goods while supporting departmental goals and timelines. This role requires strong organizational and teamwork skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely. The position combines inventory accuracy, quality control, and warehouse support to ensure smooth operations and compliance with company standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate inventory records for all materials and finished goods.

Work closely with Management and Cost Accounting in adherence to cycle count calendar.

Research and resolve inventory discrepancies; reconcile counts and discrepancy reports from outside branches.

Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in line with management expectations.

Communicate effectively with peers, supervisors, and management.

Assist with replenishments, Pick Face bins, receiving, and pulling efforts as needed.

Support continuous improvement of inventory control processes across operational areas.

Follow warehouse safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe operation of equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities:

Strong teamwork, professionalism, and communication skills.

Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of warehouse management software a plus.

Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs and operate material handling equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:

At least 3 years of experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control within a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Experience with unit of measure and conversions.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Forklift certification or ability to become certified (man-up/reach lift truck).
Physical Demands

Standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and climbing as required.

Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.

Must maintain awareness and follow all safety protocols when operating equipment.
Work Environment

Moderate to loud warehouse setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts.

May encounter varying temperatures, fumes, or airborne particles.

Must use PPE as required.
