We seek a Tool and Die Maker for a key role on our toolroom team. The Toolmaker role is centered on the precise fabrication and assembly of complex progressive dies, stage tooling, blanking dies and compound tools. This role builds finished tooling from blueprints using varied machining skills, focusing on ensuring the die runs correctly and meets specifications required for part production.

Position Responsibilities include:

Job Responsibilities

· Fabrication & Assembly: Set up and operate manual and CNC machinery (lathe, mill, EDM) to machine parts, then assemble, dowel, and bolt dies to exact specifications.

· Testing & Quality: Install dies to confirm performance, troubleshoot assembly issues, adjust for specs, and maintain accurate blueprint documentation.

· Maintenance & Repair: Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair tooling damaged by operational errors to minimize downtime.

· Documentation: Accurately log time and materials in JobBoss software and communicate daily work progress.

Ideal Candidate Profile

· Skills: Proven expertise and understanding of machining, tool steel properties, heat treating, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

· Technical Proficiency: Ability to interpret complex blueprints and apply GD&T to ensure precision quality.

· Problem-Solving: Proactive troubleshooting skills to implement engineering changes effectively.

· Compliance & Tools: Strict adherence to safety protocols (Lockout/Tagout) and possession of necessary personal measuring tools.
