About Schmidt Roofing

Schmidt Roofing is a growing residential/commercial roofing company serving Minnesota. We specialize in asphalt shingle roof installations and pride ourselves on quality workmanship, strong customer relationships, and a performance-driven culture.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead, develop, and scale our residential/commercial sales team across our 9 brick-and-mortar locations. Commercial Business is around 20% of the business.


Position Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all sales operations across multiple office locations, managing Sales Representatives, driving revenue growth, and ensuring accountability across the organization. This leader will implement structure, improve close rates, and build a strong performance-driven culture throughout all branches.

This role is based in Burnsville, MN and requires travel between office locations.


Responsibilities

Multi-Location Sales Leadership

  • Oversee Sales Representatives across 9 office locations
  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new Sales Representatives
  • Develop consistent sales processes across all branches
  • Conduct regular field ride-alongs and performance evaluations
  • Set and enforce individual and branch-level sales goals
  • Hold weekly sales meetings and branch performance reviews
  • Monitor KPIs including close rate, revenue, margin, and pipeline activity
  • Implement accountability systems and performance improvement plans
  • Standardize training and best practices across all offices

Revenue Growth & Strategy

  • Develop regional growth strategies by territory
  • Drive self-generated lead initiatives (door-to-door, referrals, canvassing)
  • Manage company-provided lead distribution
  • Forecast monthly and quarterly revenue targets
  • Identify opportunities to increase average contract value and profitability
  • Analyze branch performance and adjust strategies accordingly

Sales Process & Operations

  • Oversee the full sales cycle from inspection to signed contract
  • Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and profitable
  • Approve pricing exceptions and contract terms
  • Coordinate closely with operations regarding scheduling, materials, permits, and subcontractors
  • Ensure smooth handoff from sales to production teams
  • Review job profitability and margin reports
  • Maintain CRM compliance and reporting accuracy

Customer Experience & Brand Protection

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism across all locations
  • Resolve escalated customer issues
  • Ensure consistent communication standards company-wide
  • Protect and strengthen the Schmidt Roofing brand


Qualifications(Must Have)

  • 5+ years of Residential Roofing Sales Management experience
  • Proven track record leading multi-location or regional sales teams
  • Experience in roofing, siding, or home services preferred.
  • Able to use labbers and get on roofs for expections.
  • Strong background in commission-based sales environments
  • Demonstrated success increasing revenue and improving close rates
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Willingness to travel between office locations regularly
