Summary

Responsible for managing and leading direct reports and teams towards meeting the quality mission.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for understanding and/or assigning resources for the purpose of understanding the quality and fitness for use disposition of all raw materials.
  • Responsible for proactively representing Quality in the scale-up of new products into manufacturing
  • Responsible for assigning, leading and managing resources to validate the effectiveness of the
  • manufacturing of products
  • Responsible for the assigning, leading and managing resources to verify proper storage, packaging, labeling and hand-off for delivery and ensure integrity
  • Champion the corrective action process for customer complaints and internal material failures
  • Champion justified and assigned continuous improvement efforts from internal and external failures, audits and manufacturing & OEE data
  • Responsible for proactively representing Quality in product/process deviations
  • Work in an open-minded manner both cross-functionally and across facilities and divisions to support learning and continuous improvement of the organization
  • Support all other company objectives in safety, growth, people, quality, capacity and productivity in compliance with the Quality Management System
  • Participate as a resource on assigned teams and to accomplish other duties as assigned

Recommended Qualifications

  • A 4-year degree in a science or engineering field is preferred with a minimum of five years of relevant experience working in a quality or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership skills for managing technical and manufacturing support resources
  • Skilled use, analysis and interpretation of data, including statistical techniques are required
  • Efficient use of basic computer software, including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, databases, email is required

  • Individual is expected to perform job duties safely and in compliance with documentation outlined in the Safety, Health, and Environmental system.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, facilitate safety huddles, perform audits as scheduled by Safety Leadership, and model the Audia Safety Way.

Responsibility for Quality

  • Expected to perform job duties in compliance with defined management system requirements.
  • Individual has responsibility for product quality and is authorized to stop production in order to correct quality problems.
