Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Job Type: Full-time, On-site
About the Role
The Machine Operator ensures the production line runs safely and efficiently while upholding food safety, food defense, and quality standards. You’ll monitor equipment, spot issues early, complete required documentation, and communicate effectively with leadership and maintenance.
What You’ll Do
Production Line Operation
-
Operate, monitor, and adjust production machinery to meet run rates and quality targets.

Set up equipment per product specifications and perform timely, high-quality line changeovers.

Conduct routine checks, troubleshoot minor issues, and escalate mechanical concerns to maintenance.
Product Quality Control
-
Verify quality throughout the run; inspect raw materials, ingredients, WIP, and finished goods.

Partner with Quality to report and resolve nonconformances and defects.
Food Safety & Compliance

Follow all Food Safety, GMP, HACCP, and Food Defense procedures and SOPs.

Maintain clean, organized work areas and proper sanitation; handle, store, and process product per standards.
Documentation & Reporting

Accurately record production counts, settings, downtime, waste, and shift handoff notes.

Promptly report equipment, safety, or quality issues to the supervisor.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement

Collaborate with operators, leads, QC, and maintenance to meet schedules and minimize downtime.

Identify opportunities to improve safety, yield, quality, and changeover efficiency; help reduce waste and costs.
What You’ll Bring
-
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in manufacturing or food production is a plus.

Prior experience in food manufacturing/production preferred.

Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP (or willingness to learn).

Ability to operate and troubleshoot production machinery in a fast-paced environment.

Read/write in English; effective verbal and written communication.

Reliability, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to consistent quality.

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
Work Environment
-
Exposure to both heat and cold; plant is not air-conditioned.

Moderate to high noise; proximity to moving mechanical parts—safety focus is essential.

Uniforms, hairnets, safety shoes, and adherence to GMP are required.
