Estimator - Plumbing

Position Overview
The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for plumbing projects, ensuring that all factors are considered for bids and proposals. This role involves collaborating with project managers, reviewing blueprints, and conducting take-offs to determine materials and labor costs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for plumbing projects
  • Conduct material take-offs and analyze project specifications
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary project information
  • Review blueprints and design documents to assess project requirements
  • Maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing
  • Advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering opportunities
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals in a timely manner
  • Track and report on the status of estimates and bids

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an estimator in the plumbing industry
  • Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components
  • Familiarity with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) systems
  • Proficient in take-off software and estimating tools
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects
