Job Description

Stone Arch Advisory Group isseeking an Investment Execution Specialist to support their investment team. The Investment Execution Specialist works closely with the Chief Investment Officer (CFA) and Senior Investment Analyst. This individual's core focuses will include maintaining investment portfolios, monitoring various programs and positioning, and becoming an expert on implementing alternative investment strategies.

Core Expectations Include (not limited to):

  • Investment proposal creation and implementation
  • Provide support in maintaining portfolio models, associated performance and attribution reporting
  • General knowledge of capital markets and trends; integrating into firm’s overall investment philosophy
  • Clear understanding of investment vehicles including mutual funds, ETF’s, SMA’s, & individual securities
  • General knowledge of alternative investments & strategies
  • Make efficient and timely trades in client investment portfolios
  • Monitor incoming, outgoing, and current cash levels in client accounts
  • Initiate and process private security transitions (initial subscription, capital calls, etc.)
  • Monitor tax-loss harvesting and capital-gain minimization programs
  • Assist with investment client review write-ups and case prep
  • Participate in and be a contributing member to the Stone Arch Investment Committee
  • Provides additional investment account support to operations team and serves as a liaison between home office investment dept. and Stone Arch internal teams
  • Document client conversations, ensure compliance and industry rules regarding investor disclosures, privacy laws, anti-money laundering requirements, and anti-fraud measures
  • Maintain own personal CE, FINRA, and other certifications, knowing when licenses expire and be sure to meet the deadlines to keep your certifications and licenses valid

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related
  • Must have 2+ years experience and proven track record in a similar capacity
  • FINRA SIE, Series 7 & 63/66
  • Minnesota Life, Accident & Health License (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other proprietary investment software
  • Experience with Morningstar and/or YCharts a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
  • Great team player but excellent at working independently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Driven, self-motivated, and hard working individual with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, and autonomy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and excellent time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Maintain a positive, professional, and team-focused attitude with internal team members & home office
