An opportunity to provide critical nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) awaits in Barre, VT. This travel nursing position offers a chance to work with a 5-suite surgical unit licensed for 122 beds, serving adolescent to geriatric patients with a variety of surgical needs including orthopedics, general surgery, cataracts, podiatry, urology, gynecology, and cardiology procedures such as pacemaker insertions.

Responsibilities
- Circulate and scrub for surgeries in a 5-OR suite unit
- Manage patient care during surgical procedures including C-sections (training provided)
- Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia, and ancillary staff for optimal patient outcomes
- Use EPIC for documentation and operate medication systems including Pyxis
- Participate in call rotations with weekend and evening coverage as required
- Maintain strict surgical dress code and aseptic techniques
Qualifications
- RN license with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience and 2 years in OR specialty
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
- National Certification for Scrub Techs preferred
- Ability to circulate and scrub proficiently
- Comfortable with various surgical procedures and equipment
Schedule
- Monday through Friday with day shifts (06:5015:30 or 06:5017:30) and evening shifts (11:0019:30) available
- Call rotations: one weekend every five weeks plus one weekday evening call weekly
- Flexible scheduling accommodating a set day off
