Job Description

Accurately post customer payments received through checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards in a timely manner. This role involves monitoring accounts receivable aging, following up on past-due balances, and communicating with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately post customer payments in a timely manner using checks, ACH, wire transfers, and credit cards.
  • Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve billing discrepancies and payment delays.
  • Collaborate with sales, operations, and customer service teams to address and resolve account issues.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and investigate unapplied or misapplied payments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives for accounts receivable processes and systems.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in cash application and accounting.
  • Strong customer service and collection skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • An Associate's degree in Accounting is preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Accounts Receivable.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sparks Glencoe, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.44 - $31.25/hr.
