We are looking for a Permit Coordinator to join our team in the Nashville, TN (Franklin) metro area. Position Summary:
Our Permit Coordinator role suits you perfectly as you will be responsible for ensuring building permit documents are completed and submitted on a timely and accurate basis. It will provide you the opportunity to accentuate your well-honed office administrative skills, your ability to bring organization to anything, your keen attention to detail, a sense of urgency, and proficiency at following up. In addition, you will enjoy using your natural people skills to cultivate and maintain trusted business relationships with our trades, construction team and local municipalities. You’ll be an essential part of our team, working behind the scenes to ensure our operations are humming and running smoothly. You’ll report directly to the head of Operations while working closely with the office staff as a valued team member.

What you’ll do:
Starts Duties:
- Track and document receipt of House Location Plans (HLPs) from surveyor.
- Work with Construction Manager approval to verify appropriate lot notations.
- Manage all relevant data info using SMART and Outlook.
- Update Lot Definition regarding garage hand in SMART.
Permitting Duties:
- Prepare Starts Package by printing release email, lot definition and plan sets.
- Complete specified permit application paperwork based on municipality requirements to obtain permit.
- Compare square footages on permit documents to starts permit estimate report
- Assemble Starts and Permit packages with all essential documentation.
- Provide completed Permit package to proper municipality.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Administrative training or some college helpful
Licenses, Certifications, etc.:
- Notary Public (can get after hired)
Experience:
- 2 years of office administrative experience
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn SMART (proprietary software)
Other:
- Initiative, self-starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Good follow-through skills
- Sensitive to deadline and time restraints
