Job DescriptionMinimum 1+ years occupational therapy experience required.
A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized support in an elementary school setting in Anaheim, CA. This temporary contract role covers two overlapping maternity leaves, starting August 11th and expected to conclude by late September or early October. The position focuses on delivering therapeutic services to students within one preschool and one elementary autism program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized occupational therapy assessments and interventions for children with diverse needs, primarily in autism programs
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development and educational goals
- Maintain thorough documentation of services, progress notes, and pliance with regulatory standards
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education plan (IEP) development
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapy license applicable to California practice
- Experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with a focus on home health, healthcare, and school settings
- Prior work with children on the autism spectrum preferred
- Ability to provide onsite therapy exclusively; teletherapy (VOCO) is not permitted
- Flexibility for a leave coverage contract with potential for extension to be determined
