Sr. Plumbing Estimator
Position Overview
The Sr. Plumbing Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for plumbing projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness. This role involves collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to assess project requirements and develop cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing and estimating, with a keen understanding of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed estimates for plumbing projects based on plans and specifications.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project scope and cost estimates.
- Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and refine estimates as necessary.
- Analyze bid documents and prepare comprehensive proposals for clients.
- Maintain and update a database of labor rates, material costs, and subcontractor pricing to ensure accurate estimates.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss estimating and budgeting issues with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in plumbing estimating or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing systems and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
