Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide essential support to students during a leave of absence coverage. This full-time, contract role is set to begin August 9th for a period of 12 weeks, offering the chance to make a significant impact in a collaborative schools-based environment near Anaheim, CA.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license (OTR/L)
- Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
- Ability to implement evidence-based interventions to address students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional needs
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptable, proactive, and compassionate approach in diverse educational settings
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Conduct student assessments and maintain accurate, timely documentation
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to support student achievement and access to curriculum
- Design and modify classroom activities to enhance participation and independence
- Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and interdisciplinary planning sessions
- Offer strategies and resources to school staff for fostering student development and inclusion
