A local industry leader in office furniture is seeking an experienced, high-energy Commercial Furniture Sales Representative to expand our footprint in the thriving Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. markets. In this role, you will inherit a pipeline of warm, inbound leads, while actively prospecting for new business opportunities. You will partner with in house architecture and design experts, project managers, and in house installation teams to deliver comprehensive office furniture solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Drive Revenue: Closing contract furniture sales across all commercial and institutional markets.
- Convert Warm Leads: Promptly follow up on, nurture, and close warm inbound leads provided by our marketing and lead-generation teams.
- Prospect New Business: Actively hunt for new clients via cold outreach, networking, and attending local industry events.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate strong partnerships with the local A&D community, project managers, and commercial real estate influencers.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct client consultations to understand space requirements, present tailored furniture solutions, and deliver winning proposals.
- Project Collaboration: Partner with in-house designers and project managers to ensure accurate specifications, quotes, and seamless installation.
What You’ll Bring - Industry Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of B2B commercial/contract furniture sales experience is strictly required.
- Market Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. commercial real estate and business landscape.
- Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding individual sales quotas and building a pipeline from scratch.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and familiarity with furniture specification software (e.g., CET Designer, CAP Studio) is a plus.
- Mobility: Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for regular travel to client sites and industry events across the DMV area.
