Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and hard-working Production Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for various harvest activities such as preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing. You will also be involved in return and rework activities, including inspecting bags of product for quality issues, pallets and boxes for damage, and re-stacking, wrapping, and packing outgoing product. This is a seasonal position, estimated to last 6-8 months, and could turn into a long-term opportunity for employees with excellent production and attendance.
Responsibilities
- Conduct various harvest activities including preparation, sorting, drying, packaging, and palletizing.
- Perform return and rework activities by inspecting product bags, pallets, and boxes for quality issues and damages.
- Re-stack, wrap, and pack outgoing products.
- Operate and maintain production line machinery and equipment.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the work area by sweeping, dusting, and washing equipment.
Essential Skills
- Previous experience in packaging, production, or farming is preferred.
- Ability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift depending on assignment.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
- Willingness to engage in tasks such as sorting, drying, machine operation, quality control, bagging/re-bagging, and palletizing.
- Proficiency in forklift operation with training.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in shipping & receiving and warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in general production, warehouse management, and packaging.
- Ability to operate a PIT truck (forklift) after training.

Work Environment
This fully on-site position is located in Tipton, IN, and involves work in multiple non-temperature controlled warehouses and some outdoor tasks. The work is physically demanding and requires wearing PPE including hard hats, safety vests, work gloves, and hearing protection. Employees must wear steel or composite-toe shoes at all times. The role may require flexible shifts, particularly during peak season from September to March, with options for overtime. During off-peak months, the schedule typically shifts to an 8-hour day schedule.

This is a Contract position based out of Tipton, Indiana.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
