Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is needed for a contract position in the Houston, TX area, supporting a school setting through approximately late May 2026. This role offers the opportunity to provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care to a student within the school district.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized nursing care such as tube feeding, suctioning, and oxygen monitoring
- Managing and monitoring the students health needs throughout the school day
- Collaborating with school staff and healthcare providers to support student well-being
- Complying with all applicable health and safety protocols and district requirements
Qualifications and experience desired:
- Current LVN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing
- Previous experience in school nursing or pediatric care is preferred
- Ability to provide 1:1 medical support for students with complex needs
- Successful completion of district fingerprinting and drug screening
- Professional approach to individualized student care and teamwork
Location: Houston, Texas (specific school location to be determined)
Schedule: Full-time, approximately 37.5 hours per week for 10-12 weeks, starting as soon as possible
