The General Production Worker will assist in the operation of a pellet production line, including forklift operation, mixing raw materials, monitoring the production process, packaging products, and preparing them for shipping. Responsibilities include utilizing a forklift to move materials, ensuring product quality, and maintaining cleanliness in the work area.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklift to transport raw materials and finished products.
- Load raw materials into the mixer at the start of the production line.
- Monitor production line to ensure smooth operation and address any issues.
- Package materials into sacks after processing.
- Load products into the oven using a forklift.
- Stage final products for shipping by weighing and wrapping them with plastic wrap.
- Sweep and clean floors to maintain a tidy work environment.
Essential Skills
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Comfortable getting certified on a sitdown forklift.
- 6+ months of experience working in a fast-paced, dirty environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Sitdown Forklift Experience.
- Experience operating machinery.
- Experience wearing a respirator.

Work Environment
Work in a dusty and team-oriented environment, operating large machines alongside a small team. The job is physically demanding, requiring the use of a respirator and Tyvek suit, both provided along with safety glasses and gloves. Work shifts are long, but breaks are provided, especially during hotter days to ensure comfort. The facility is equipped with solid ventilation and fans to mitigate heat.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
