Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) degree, active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a Contract Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) position supporting elementary and middle school students with diverse needs. The role is based in Claremont, NH, within an established school district, providing specialized therapy services to children in both general education and safe-contained settings.
Location: Claremont, New Hampshire
Position Duration: January 5, 2026 June 12, 2026 (tentative end date)
Work Hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week; part-time options available (4 days = 30 hrs or 3 days = 22.5 hrs) based on availability
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students, including those requiring level 3 autism supports in a safe-contained classroom setting
- Provide direct therapy and consultation to students in kindergarten through fifth grade general education classrooms
- Travel weekly to Disnard Elementary and Claremont Middle School to support students across various placements
- Manage a caseload of approximately 32 students, with 22 receiving direct services and 10 on consultative support
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold current certification as a COTA and meet all New Hampshire state requirements
- Experience working with children, including those on the autism spectrum and in general education settings
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload across multiple school sites with excellent organizational skills
