ExcelPrep offers two distinct programs for learners ages 3-13:
- PreK8 Academic Program: Direct Instruction and Precision Teaching for core academics (reading, writing, math) in a structured, data-driven environment.
- Clinical ABA Program (Ages 313): Cognition-linguistically based ABA focusing on language, reasoning, executive functioning, social competence, and independence.
Across ExcelPrep, we center:
- Direct Instruction and instructional design
- Precision Teaching and data-based decision making
- Behavior science research foundations
- Occupational Therapy as a prioritized therapy alongside ABA for sensory-motor development

The Role: Paraprofessional
Were seeking a compassionate, dependable Paraprofessional to support teachers, therapists, and students across ExcelPreps programs. Youll work under supervision to reinforce instruction, assist with transitions, and support individualized learning and behavior plans to promote successful outcomes.
Key focus areas:
- Support classroom instruction under teacher and BCBA/OT/SLP guidance
- Assist with implementing Direct Instruction, Precision Teaching, and ABA-based strategies
- Support students with accommodations, sensory needs, and motor planning as directed
- Collect and organize data on participation, on-task behavior, and skill acquisition; document progress as required
- Assist with daily routines, transitions, supervision during activities, and safety protocols
- Support with behavior support plans, data collection, and home-school communication as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to create a positive learning environment
Responsibilities
- Provide on-the-ground assistance in classrooms and therapy spaces
- Help implement lesson activities, reinforce correct responses, and manage materials
- Support data collection and basic progress tracking
- Aid in behavior support and communication strategies under supervision
- Assist with lunch, recess, arrival/dismissal, and other daily routines
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization of learning spaces
- Participate in team meetings and professional development sessions
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school policies and regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college coursework in education, psychology, or related field is a plus
- Prior experience supporting children, preferably in educational or pediatric settings
- Familiarity with classroom routines, data collection, and behavior support concepts a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and a proactive, safety-conscious approach
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) or experience serving Spanish-speaking families is a plus
