As a COOK I at Kiawah Island Golf Resort, you will be a vital part of our culinary team, responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our dishes. We are looking for skilled, motivated, and creative individuals who are dedicated to the art of cooking. Expectations & Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in accordance with our recipes and standards.
· Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
· Maintain a clean and organized work station.
· Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
· Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and taste.
· Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
· Contribute to maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
· Proven experience as a Line Cook in a high-end restaurant or culinary establishment.
· Strong culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
· Attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
· A passion for culinary arts and a desire to create extraordinary dining experiences.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Also focus on retaining, and motivating the associates while providing a safe work environment.
· Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, presentation, and execution during service.
· Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Essential Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand for the entirety of a shift.
· Ability to reach, bend and stoop frequently.
· Must be able to carry 50 lbs. about ten times per shift over a medium distance.
