Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Construction Manager by monitoring subcontractors and progress of work throughout construction.
- Monitor progress including delivery and use of materials, supplies, tools, machinery, equipment and vehicles.
- Review and analyze site plans and blueprints to monitor and ensure compliance with plan specifications.
- Conduct walk-through meetings with clients; resolve customer service issues and production problems to maintain client satisfaction; complete finishing and warranty work as required.
- Proactively recognize and address potential problems.
- Oversee the completion of the punch list before closing and one-year warranty work.
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as needed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to relay highly detailed information between team members, trade partners, and clients.
- Adaptability and flexibility to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with ability to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
- Good maintenance and carpentry skills; blueprint reading; use of hand and power tools.
· Decisiveness, decision-making and problem-solving abilities to select alternative courses of action.
- Detail-oriented approach with demonstrated skills in organizing and evaluating information.
- Motivated and self-directed mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, proactively find solutions, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Ability to work as a collaborative team member.
Minimum Education Experience:
High school graduate with at least four years of related construction experience; related supervisory experience; and a good knowledge and understanding of the home building industry within scope of building codes, regulations and construction process.
Work Conditions:
Exposure to undesirable environmental conditions. Appropriate equipment and precautions are required. Daily travel which requires possession of a valid driver’s license. Ability to lift 50lbs.
