Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 base salary

About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a mission-driven organization in the Bellevue area to identify a Staff Accountant to join our consulting team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role is ideal for an accountant who enjoys being hands-on, values structure and accuracy, and has experience working in non-profit environments.
This engagement offers the opportunity to work closely with the client’s internal finance team while providing the potential to transition into a permanent, full-time role with the organization at the conclusion of the consulting engagement.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with GAAP and non-profit accounting standards
- Assist with fund accounting, restricted vs. unrestricted funds, and grant tracking
- Support financial reporting for internal stakeholders and external requirements
- Assist with audits, reviews, and financial documentation requests
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and documentation
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of accounting experience, with non-profit accounting experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and non-profit accounting principles
- Experience with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel (intermediate or higher)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working fully on-site
- Ability to adapt in a consulting-style environment
- Great Plains experience would be a plus.
