Position Summary

The HVAC Project Manager will be responsible for delivering a large scale multifamily construction project on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety. This role requires a balance of field presence and office-based leadership, managing subcontractors, coordinating materials and schedules, and ensuring successful project execution through proactive planning and risk management.


Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of a long-term HVAC installation project
  • Maintain ownership of project scope, schedule, and budget

Team & Trade Coordination

  • Develop and manage project schedules
  • Coordinate materials and collaborate with multiple trades to meet milestones

Change & Risk Management

  • Process RFIs, change orders, and project documentation
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies

Communication & Documentation

  • Act as the primary point of contact with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Track progress, risks, and key deliverables using project management tools

On-Site Leadership

  • Provide strong field oversight across installation phases
  • Monitor deliveries, installation progress, and coordination across trades
  • Identify and resolve issues to keep the project on track


Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing HVAC or construction projects, ideally within multifamily or large-scale residential builds
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and installation processes
  • Experience working directly with general contractors
  • Familiarity with advanced HVAC systems (e.g., VRV/VRF) is highly desirable
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with project management software platforms
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, OSHA 30) or technical education preferred
