Vintun is seeking a forward-thinking Principal Business Analyst to join our team in support of our Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Supply Chain Architecture/Initiatives contract in the Mechanicsburg, PA area. The successful candidate will play a critical role in documenting and recommending improvements to existing supply chain business processes for NAVSUP that ultimately enhance Navy Logistics. The ideal candidate will have experience with business enterprise architecture requirements gathering, business analysis, and supply chain management. The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenging and changing situations quickly while being able to facilitate the completion of multiple tasks and assignments. Candidate must also be able to attend on-site meetings in Mechanicsburg, PA as needed, often times 1-2 times a week.


What will you do?


• Provide business process analysis, Navy IT system gap analysis, and optimization services for Naval Supply Systems.

• Serve as a business process analyst between contractor teams, stakeholders, and functional process owners to achieve business reform objectives.

• Analyzing existing information systems to document requirements and functionality of business processes.

• Gather and document business enterprise architecture requirements for legacy Navy IT systems.

• Conduct research and interviews to understand, assess, and improve business processes and support continuous improvement efforts for transformation from legacy to future Navy IT systems.

• Collaborate with colleagues to produce valid and accurately written technical content for various products (e.g., briefings, narratives, and justifications).

• Prepare technical Courses of Action (COA) reports by researching, collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, best practices, and trends.


Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 10 years of IT, process architecture, process management, or process improvement experience

• Experience supporting Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP)

• Experience implementing or using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system (SAP experience preferred)

• Experience facilitating large meetings to elicit technical requirements and document processes

• Experience with business analysis, documenting requirements, and creating process flow diagrams

• Strong analytical and technical writing skills

• Must be a US citizen

• Possess a secret clearance


Preferred Skills

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belt

• Experience using MS-Visio

• Experience working in remote teams

• Experience in a U.S. Government environment (Navy/DoD experience preferred)

• Experience with Supply Chain Management

• Commercial or Federal consulting experiences at “Big 4” or similar practice

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distance may be required. Possible lifting up to 25lbs. Due to this being a contract position working for the US government all candidates must be a U.S. citizen and pass a criminal and financial background check as well as a drug test.
