Job DescriptionEvent Planner (Contract) - Princeton, NJ
Pay: $34/hour
Type: Contract
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events ranging from small meetings to large-scale corporate functions (10-500 attendees)
- Coordinate all logistics including venue selection, catering, AV, transportation, and staffing
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and reconcile costs
- Source and negotiate with vendors, venues, and service providers
- Develop timelines, run-of-show documents, and event schedules
- Oversee on-site event execution and troubleshoot issues in real time
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and senior leadership
- Ensure high-quality attendee experience and satisfaction
- Conduct post-event evaluations and reporting
Qualifications
- 3-6+ years of event planning or hospitality experience
- Experience managing corporate or large-scale events
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and vendor negotiation abilities
- Proficiency with event planning tools and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work flexible hours (occasional evenings/weekends)
Preferred
- Experience in corporate, nonprofit, or agency event planning
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, or related field
