Job Description

The Heavy Equipment Operator plays a vital role in managing and operating various types of machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and conveyors across diverse work environments including construction sites, mining sites, and agricultural settings. This position involves both independent work and collaboration under a crew lead, ensuring safe, efficient site operations. Relocation is required, with opportunities for on-the-job training and advancement into management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and conveyors safely and efficiently
  • Prepare sites by clearing and leveling terrain for construction or agriculture
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and basic upkeep on equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols
  • Handle loads and transport equipment on site as needed
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas after operations
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 year's experience in heavy equipment operation (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Effective time management skills
