Job Description:
We are seeking a technically proficient and business-savvy Functional Business Analyst to support and optimize our enterprise collaboration, analytics, and IT service management platforms. This role will focus on Microsoft 365 technologies (including SharePoint, Teams, and Power BI) as well as Ivanti Service Management (ISM). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring seamless platform performance, user adoption, and process alignment.
In this position, you will instruct, direct, and check the work of other project engineers. You will be responsible for the completion of assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. You will be leading a group of engineers, analysts, and or technicians assigned for the duration of a project or may function as the ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function (such as but not limited to: network design engineering implementation or operations slash user support). As such, you will not have formal supervisory responsibilities although you may provide input for project team member performance appraisals.
Position Responsibilities:
· Develops, deploys, and manages custom Microsoft Teams applications, bots, tabs, and messaging extensions, integrating with Microsoft 365 services to enhance collaboration and productivity within the Teams environment.
· Gather and document business requirements for collaboration and analytics platforms.
· Translate functional needs into technical specifications and workflows.
· Administer Ivanti modules (Incident, Request, Change) and ensure ITIL-aligned workflows.
· Customize forms, dashboards, and automation rules to streamline service delivery.
· Build and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI based on business requirements.
· Connect and transform data from multiple sources (e.g., Excel, SQL, SharePoint).
· Design and manage SharePoint sites, libraries, and metadata to support collaboration and document management.
· Implement and maintain permission structures and governance policies.
Qualifications:
· BA or BS degree + 5 years of experience or AA degree with 7 years of experience
· Security+ Certification
· 5-years’ experience with Microsoft 365 Technologies with demonstrated experience in building custom Teams apps, designing SharePoint sites, and creating Power BI dashboards using data from multiple sources.
· Firsthand experience configuring and managing ITSM tools, preferably Ivanti ISM, including customizing forms, dashboards, and automation rules.
· Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into technical specifications, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
