This position seeks a skilled Sign Language Interpreter to support effective communication for students and staff in an educational setting. Located in Orono, ME, this role involves collaboration within a school environment and requires some travel to ensure accessibility for all learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate clear and accurate interpretation between sign language users and hearing individuals in classroom and school-related activities.
• Support students educational progress by ensuring effective communication with teachers, peers, and administrators.
• Attend school meetings, events, and occasional travel assignments to provide interpretation services.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions.
• Work collaboratively with educators and support staff to enhance the learning environment for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.
