Registered Nurse Medical-Surgical Unit
An opportunity is available for a skilled Registered Nurse with Medical-Surgical expertise to support patient care in a reputable healthcare setting located in Saint Johns, Florida. This position is offered on a contract basis, with flexible scheduling options to accommodate 36 to 48-hour work weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical patients, ensuring clinical excellence and patient safety.
- Administer medications, including chemotherapy if certified, and monitor patient responses.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management and discharge planning.
- Adhere to hospital policies and protocols to maintain the highest standards of care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Current and valid RN license with Medical-Surgical (MS) experience.
- Chemo certification is preferred to support oncology patient care.
- Ability to work every other weekend and Easter holiday as required.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is highly advantageous.
Schedule:
- 36 to 48-hour contracts are acceptable, providing comfortable flexibility.
- Every other weekend and Easter coverage is required.
