Summary
We're currently seeking flexible and passionate FLOATERS to join our team! As a FLOATER, you'll work alongside our experienced teachers and assist them with day-to-day activities, creating a safe and nurturing environment where young learners can thrive. With children aged six weeks to 12 years, you'll enjoy interacting with kids of all ages and making a real difference in their lives. With convenient work hours from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., this is the perfect opportunity to turn your passion for childcare into a rewarding career. Duties
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Covering classrooms when teachers are absent.
- Covering toilet breaks, lunch breaks.
- Ensuring that classrooms uphold the ratio and fill in if necessary.
- Escorting children to the front office, classrooms during arrival time, and escorting children to the front door during dismissal time.
- Helping classes move to a different region ( i.e., playground)
- Closing and opening when needed.
- Resupplying classrooms and/or acquiring materials for classrooms.
- Helping Lead and Assistant Teachers with other job they need assistance with.
- Participates in required training programs, conferences, courses, or other aspects of professional growth.
- Greet children and parents/guardians professionally and enthusiastically each day.
- Maintain a happy, sanitary, safe, secure, and relaxed atmosphere in the classroom by following daily procedures and routines.
Requirements
At least 1-year experience working in a childcare setting.
18 years or older.
High school diploma or GED.
Must pass a criminal background check.
CPR/FIRST AID certified.
Must be able to maintain physical activity with young children.
Must have a passion for working with children and a strong understanding of child development.
Able to lift 35 lbs throughout the day.
Strong written and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
Early Childhood Education:
TCC, Diploma, or CDA
Master's, Bachelor's, or Associate's degree in early childhood education.
