Job Title: Video Editor (Hybrid)
Location: 3180 Porter Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304
Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite meetings approximately once per week, as needed)
Duration: 3+ months (with possible extension up to 6 months)
Schedule: Part-Time, 24 hours per week | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, three days per week
Pay Rate: $48.27/hour
Job Summary
Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Video Editor to support the creation of high-quality video content and animations on a part-time, hourly basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in video editing and motion graphics, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with creative teams while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Edit raw video footage into polished, professional content aligned with project goals
Create motion graphics and animations to enhance storytelling and audience engagement
Collaborate with creative, marketing, and project teams to understand project vision and requirements
Manage media assets and maintain organized project files and workflows
Ensure consistent quality, style, and brand alignment across all video deliverables
Meet deadlines while maintaining high production standards
Incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently throughout the production cycle
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or a related field
4–5 years of hands-on experience in video editing and animation
Proficiency in Final Cut Pro (required)
Strong understanding of video editing principles, pacing, and visual storytelling
Experience creating animations and motion graphics
Strong attention to detail, including color correction and audio synchronization
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills and openness to feedback
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with After Effects or other animation software
Knowledge of sound design and audio editing
Portfolio demonstrating a variety of video styles and formats

Hybrid role with limited onsite presence for meetings or events
