Position Overview
We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in food, agricultural, or commodity products and a passion for process optimization and cross-functional collaboration. The position will play a key role in building, managing, and improving supply chain systems that support business growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine supply chain strategies for the sourcing, production, storage, and distribution of raw materials and finished goods.
- Manage procurement activities for packaging, raw materials, consumables, and supplies.
- Oversee transportation and logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery to distributors, customers, and retail partners.
- Monitor inventory levels to minimize waste, control costs, and optimize storage capacity.
- Collaborate with production teams to forecast demand and align supply chain operations with business goals.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, logistics partners, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and food safety standards in coordination with compliance teams.
- Manage department budgets and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Develop product knowledge to effectively support internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to track trends, competitor activity, and customer demands, and use insights to inform supply chain decisions.
- Collaborate across departmentsincluding operations, logistics, and accountingto ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Provide post-delivery support to resolve issues related to service, delivery, or product quality.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the food, agriculture, or commodity sectors
- Proven expertise in procurement, order management, and vendor relations
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with inventory and cost control strategies
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM or ERP systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite)
- Willingness to travel as needed for vendor meetings and industry events
Education
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field
