Davis Carter Scott is currently seeking a full-time Interior Designer with a minimum of three (3) years commercial interiors experience to join the team and fulfill the responsibilities of the position from marketing to project completion for an exciting and diverse portfolio of Interior commercial and multi-family projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Develop design concepts with supervision.

· Develop space plans with supervision.

· Participate in Programming process.

· Work in construction documents

· Participate in construction administration.

· Participate in site surveys.

· Understand jurisdictional process - codes and permit requirements.

· Understand project scope of work and schedule requirements.

· Become familiar with entire project team from Owner to Contractor.

· Research new products.

· Understand material and design specifications and related costs.

· Work constructively within team environment.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

· Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture required

· Minimum of three (3) years relevant commercial interiors and/or multi-family experience

· Computer skills including proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite

· NCIDQ recommended/progress towards NCIDQ .

· An understanding of Sustainability and possession of/or progress toward necessary certifications (LEED AP, WELL)

· Must demonstrate creativity and excellent graphic design capabilities

· Strong verbal presentation skills to express clearly and articulately the project direction and design intent to in-house team members, consulting team members, and client.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Detailed/deadline oriented

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· Must exhibit good interpersonal skills and diplomacy

· A self-starter, creative, enthusiastic

· Professional presence, dress, and demeanor

· Authorization to work in the USA is required
