Job Family: Customer service is responsible for responding to and managing inquiries, complaints and feedback from customer accounts. This may include providing support through various channels, such as in person, phone, email or social media. The role requires effective communication, an understanding of the customer's needs and the ability to provide solutions or information promptly. Additionally, the role may involve collecting and recording customer data and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions. Problem-solving skills, patience, empathy and the ability to work under pressure are essential. The focus is on building and maintaining positive relationships with customers and providing quality service that meets or exceeds their expectations.

We have a dedicated team that will teach you everything you need to know about the Logistics business, and how to succeed in it. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Foster excellent front-line customer relations by collaborating with customers and internal teams, ensuring continued company growth and achievement of goals
  • Coordinate all aspects of customer freight shipments, including rate quotes, service dates, booking freight, answering customer calls and providing daily tracking and tracing of shipment activity
  • Monitor logistics and shipments through ongoing communication with operations and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery
  • Manage the department’s general mailbox and oversee the 800-line, ensuring customer inquiries and requests are handled promptly
  • Provide spot quotes for ad hoc freight shipments as required
  • Create and maintain strong customer relations by working closely with other departments and ensuring seamless communication across teams
  • Provide coverage for peers' books of business during absences
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:
High school diploma or GED

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to access, interpret and verify data to ensure accuracy and efficiency in decision-making
Proven ability to effectively communicate, build relationships and negotiate with customers and internal teams to solve complex problems and ensure satisfaction
Demonstrated time management skills with a focus on planning and executing tasks efficiently while managing multiple priorities
Ability to take ownership and accountability, applying active learning, judgment and decision-making to continuously improve processes and outcomes
Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and taking initiative to address issues and drive positive results.
