Duration: 13 Weeks (Possibility to Extend)

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: Night Shift

• Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

• Block Scheduling: Not guaranteed

• Floating: Required

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $55 – $72 per hour

Position Overview

An hospital is seeking an experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for its Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This role involves caring for moderately to highly acute patients requiring advanced monitoring and specialized equipment. The RN must demonstrate strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Details

• Unit: Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU)

• Total Beds: 64

• Specialty Beds: 15 designated Neuro beds

• Patient Population: Adults (18+ years)

Common Diagnoses

• Neurological and Cardiac conditions

• Trauma

• Respiratory disorders (COPD)

• DKA

• Sepsis

• Myocardial Infarction (MI)

• Cardiovascular Stepdown

• Post-operative patients

Specialty Equipment & Skills

• Temporary pacemakers

• Chest tubes

• Arterial lines (A-lines)

• BiPAP

• Neptune / Vapo equipment

• Chronic ventilator patients (RT support available)

EMR

• Epic experience required

Requirements

• Travel nursing experience required

• Active New York RN license (must be verified via NURSYS)

• All RN licenses must be active and verified

• Current certifications:

  • AHA BLS

  • ACLS

  • NIHSS
