We at Nexorra Group are partnering with a full-service development and advocacy firm that has supported the agricultural industry for over 20 years. We're hiring a hands-on, highly organized EIT I (Engineer in Training) to join their growing Idaho team.

This is more than an entry-level drafting job. Its a launchpad for motivated engineers seeking direct mentorship, versatile project work, and a fast path to salaried growth. Youll support a team of senior P.E.s on large-scale agricultural projects that directly impact family farms and ranches across the country.

Why This Role Matters

Due to steady growth and a top-heavy team structure, our client is hiring an early-career engineer to take ownership of critical day-to-day project tasks. Youll be the right hand to four licensed P.E.s, helping them deliver best-in-class designs and permitting packages for agricultural clients while learning every step of the way.

What You'll Do

  • Perform calculations, assist in civil design, and prepare reports to support engineered systems (e.g., drainage, water, and waste systems)
  • Develop technical reports and interact with local and state agencies for permitting
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to track timelines, deadlines, and project deliverables
  • Assist with fieldwork: site surveys, on-site materials testing, construction observation, and more
  • Build a broad skill set across civil design, agronomy, permitting, and field operations

What Were Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or completion of an Engineering Technician program with relevant experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Physically able to conduct fieldwork in various weather conditions and terrain

Strong Pluses (The Wow Factor):

  • Background in or strong passion for agriculture
  • Comfortable working in and around dairies, feedlots, poultry farms, and other animal ag operations
  • Jump-in mindset willing to assist wherever needed, from drafting to manure sampling
  • Exceptionally organized; thrives on managing project details, deadlines, and documentation
  • Independent, proactive learner with strong personal drive

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly Rate: $25$35/hour (DOE)
