Cardiothoracic Surgery opening near Orlando, FL - Located in Kissimmee, FL - Orlando 20m - Full-time, permanent position - Experience Required Overview: - Join a growing network of experienced cardiothoracic surgeons with locations in Gainesville, Tallahassee, Ocala, Orlando, Fort Walton Beach, and Pensacola - Practice performs coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements, and broad-based thoracic surgery - Florida Heart and Lung encompasses several advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including: TAVR, Minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, Aortic surgery and ECMO Ideal candidate qualifications: - Experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement, including open and endovascular aortic procedures - Experience with TAVR - Knowledge and experience with advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures - Ability to work collaboratively within the team of the growing program, with a positive track record of team building - Interdisciplinary team includes cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical, RN, and Critical Care staff to produce the highest possible quality and outcomes - Experience is required; minimum of 5 years preferred, but candidates with less experience will be considered and are encouraged to apply Comp/Benefits: - Competitive salary and comprehensive health benefits package and 401k - Support and leadership of a large organization About Hospital: - 404-bed, Level II Trauma Center, and Level II NICU - Accredited by the Joint Commission - Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center - Chest Pain Centers with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention by the American College of Cardiology - Blue Distinction Center in cardiac care from Blue Cross Blue Shield - Graduate Medical Education Program with residencies and fellowships in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Emergency Medicine, OBGYN, Psychiatry, General Surgery, and Neurology with UCF COM - Freestanding Emergency Departments at Hunter's Creek ER and Millenia ER Aboiut the Area: Kissimmee, FL, with a population of around 80,000 residents, is a vibrant community located in the heart of Osceola County.
