Position Overview
The Senior Internal Audit Manager is responsible for leading and executing the internal audit function within the organization. This role involves assessing the effectiveness of internal controls, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing insights to improve operational efficiency and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the internal audit team to ensure effective execution of audits and compliance assessments.
  • Develop and implement audit plans and strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings and recommendations to senior management and the board.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory agencies as necessary.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations and remediation efforts.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior audit staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in internal audit or related fields, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of internal audit standards, GAAP, and SOX compliance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with internal controls and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams effectively.
