This contract position offers the chance to work closely with children requiring individualized attention and assistance, fostering their academic growth and social development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one support to a pediatric student with specialized needs during the school day.
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and personal care tasks as directed by teaching staff and individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and family members to ensure consistency and effectiveness of support.
• Implement strategies to promote learning, development, and independence.
• Monitor student progress and report observations to educators and therapists.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, particularly in 1:1 support roles.
• Familiarity with special education techniques and pediatric care.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families.
• Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
• Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
