We’re partnering with a school district in Will County, IL to hire a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a short-term assignment. This role is to cover a staff leave and may be extended beyond December depending on district needs.
About the Role:
As a School-Based SLP, you will primarily provide services at the Early Learning Center (PreK), with possible support at other schools in the district. You will work with a caseload of fewer than 40 students, providing direct therapy services, conducting assessments, and collaborating with teachers and families to support students’ speech and language development.
Position Details:
Location: In-person, Will County, IL
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Start Date: October 13, 2025
End Date: End of December 2025 (possibility of extension)
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to PreK and elementary students according to their IEPs
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and evaluations as required
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional recommendations
- Provide consultative support to classroom staff to integrate speech and language goals into the classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Licensed and/or certified Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois
- Experience working in school-based settings preferred
- Strong knowledge of early childhood speech and language development
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work with a diverse student population and adapt to individual needs
