Job Description
A global trading, marketing, and distribution company in petrochemicals, plastics, and industrial chemicals in business for over 40 years is seeking an Operations Coordinator for their headquarter in mid-town New York City. The Company has been expanding in the past years and continues to grow.
This is a hybrid opportunity with a 4 day onsite, 1 day remote schedule. The compensation range is up to 90K w/bonus.
The Operations Coordinator will join the Operations & Logistics team and possesses the following:
- 5+ years of experience supervising daily transactional activity for 10 or more coordinators.
- Experience organizing all phases and aspects of international, multistep product logistics from point of origin to point of delivery (import, export, third country operations).
- Opening/rate negotiating/banking letters of credit in the US and Foreign Banks.
- Knowledge of ocean freight bookings, inland transportation, warehousing, customs procedures, bulk shipping,
- Railcar business experience is a PLUS
- Holds a bachelors degree
- Excel proficiency
- Bilingual in Spanish
The day to day responsibilities are as followed:
- Day-to-day handling of all operational tasks associated with international and domestic transactions utilizing “A to Z” concept.
- Oversee daily and long-term workload distribution, file control, and approvals of new transactions.
- Organize all phases and aspects of international, multistep product logistics from the point of origin to the point of delivery, including import, export, and third-country operations.
- Opening, negotiating, and banking Letters of Credit in US and foreign banks.
