About This Role
🏃️♀️ Elementary Physical Education TeacherPart-Time | Conyers & Covington Campuses | 34 Weeks Per Year - this position could be expanded 10 additional hours per week by teaching Middle School PE.
Peachtree Academy Private School is looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and caring Elementary Physical Education Teacher who loves fitness, children, and helping students learn how to take care of their bodies!

🗓️ Position Details
- Follows the Peachtree Academy school calendar
- No regular teaching responsibilities during scheduled school breaks
- Additional hours may be available during:
- Summer Camp
- Winter Break Camp
- Special school activities and fitness events
- Subbing for other Elementary teachers if they are out

We especially value educators who incorporate brain-based movement activities, including cross-body exercises that stimulate both sides of the brain, improve focus, strengthen coordination, and help prepare students for greater academic success. You'll have the opportunity to create a fun experience that supports classroom learning while teaching teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and good sportsmanship.

What You'll Do
Inspire a love for movement, fitness, and healthy living in students from Pre-K through 5th grade.
Plan and lead engaging, high-energy PE classes that keep every child active, involved, and having fun.
Incorporate brain-based movement activities and cross-body (cross-lateral) exercises to improve focus, coordination, memory, and readiness to learn.
Use games, obstacle courses, music, dance, fitness stations, and team-building challenges to create an exciting learning environment.
Teach fundamental movement skills, sportsmanship, teamwork, perseverance, leadership, and self-confidence.
Begin each class with energizing warm-ups that help "wake up the brain" and prepare students for greater academic success throughout the day.
Encourage every child to participate, celebrate individual growth, and foster a lifelong love of physical activity.
Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment where all students feel successful.
Communicate effectively with teachers and administrators to support student growth and reinforce classroom learning.
Model Christian values, kindness, integrity, and respect while building positive relationships with students and families.
Assist with school-wide wellness initiatives, field days, special events, and other activities that promote school spirit and healthy living.
Create memorable experiences that make PE one of every student's favorite parts of the school day.
Requirements

Strong communication skills, excellent classroom management, and a genuine love for children are essential.

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division
The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
