Job Summary: As a Registered Dental Hygienist at Coniglio Family Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dental care and promoting oral health. You will work closely with our team to provide preventive care, patient education, and assist with various dental procedures. Your ability to build strong relationships with patients and your commitment to maintaining the highest standards of care are essential to this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing.
- Conduct thorough periodontal assessments and update patient records accordingly.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Apply preventive treatments such as fluoride and sealants.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, diet, and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Assist with the diagnosis and treatment planning by providing relevant patient information.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and treatment documentation.
- Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during various procedures as required.
- Address patient concerns and answer questions to ensure a positive experience.
- Stay current with dental hygiene practices, continuing education, and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in [State].
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent education.
- Proven experience as a dental hygienist is preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with dental software and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
