Freeman Academy, a thriving Christian school with a rich Anabaptist heritage, seeks a visionary and experienced leader to serve as an interim Head of School (HOS). We are looking for an individual who is passionate about Christian education, committed to academic excellence, and dedicated to fostering a supportive and nurturing learning environment.
About the Role:
The Head of School provides strategic leadership and oversight for all aspects of Freeman Academy. This includes:
- Visionary Leadership: Guiding the school in alignment with its mission and strategic plan.
- Academic Excellence: Championing high academic standards and innovative teaching practices.
- Community Building: Fostering strong relationships with students, faculty, staff, parents, and the broader community.
- Financial Stewardship: Managing the school's resources responsibly and ensuring longterm financial stability.
- Development & Advancement: Supporting fundraising efforts and promoting the school's mission.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of master's degree in educational administration, qualifications to obtain Administrative Certification from South Dakota Department of Education.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in education.
- Strong commitment to Christian education and a passion for working with young people.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Experience in financial management and development.
