Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, assembly and repair of soft-goods articles.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience with softgoods sewing
- Understanding and troubleshooting sewing equipment as needed
- Knowledge of positioning and marking patterns on materials to prepare for sewing
- Ability to examine and measure finished articles to verify conformance to standards
- Able to work individually and with a team collaborating on spacesuit garments
- Ability to effectively communicate in both written and spoken form
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, positive work relationships
Candidate must be a US citizen or permanent resident (green card).
Required Experience:
- No formal training required, but a associates in fashion or industrial design is preferred
- Candidate must have high school diploma or equivalent with minimum 1-3 years of related work experience
- Experience in digital pattern making, manufacturing instructions, creation and use of tech packs, and industrial softgoods experience preferred.
- Experience using flat patterns is mandatory, the more sewing experience the better!
Preferred but not Required:
Embroidery / welding / heavy duty
CLO3D, Browzwear, Solidworks, Gerber
Understanding of aerospace standards including AS9100 or ISO9001
Laser cutting / 3D printing experience
