Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Assistive Technology credential required
  • Special Education Teacher certification
  • Previous experience supporting K-12 students with diverse learning needs
  • Demonstrated skill in evaluating, implementing, and training on a range of assistive technologies
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, families, and staff
  • Flexibility to work across varied caseloads and multiple school settings

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine appropriate assistive technology solutions for students
  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction tailored to students’ unique abilities and needs
  • Train students, staff, and parents in the effective use of assistive technology devices and software
  • Participate in IEP meetings and team consultations, contributing insights on technology accommodations
  • Collaborate with educators and specialists across multiple buildings to maximize service delivery
  • Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as necessary to promote inclusion and achievement
